Tap the Symptoms tab at the bottom of the app, then tap Log. You'll see symptom categories — tap any symptom to log it, select a severity from 1 (mild) to 5 (severe), and optionally add notes or a trigger. You can log up to 20 symptoms per session.
The AI Coach uses your symptom history, current medications, menopause stage, and MRS score to personalise its responses. Tap the AI Coach tab and type your question — or tap one of the suggested prompts to get started. All responses are based on clinical guidelines (NAMS and peer-reviewed research) and are for informational purposes only, not medical advice.
MRS stands for Menopause Rating Scale — a validated clinical tool for measuring the severity of menopause symptoms. It covers three domains: Somatic (physical), Psychological, and Urogenital, with a total score out of 44. MenoMate calculates your MRS score from your logged symptoms and tracks it over time so you and your doctor can see whether your symptoms are improving.
Go to the Reports tab, select a date range (7d, 14d, 30d, 60d, or 90d), and tap Download PDF. The report includes your top symptoms with frequency and severity, average mood/energy/sleep, MRS score breakdown, and trigger correlations. You can share it directly with your healthcare provider.
From the Dashboard, tap + Add in the Today's Medications section, or go to the medication tracker. Enter the medication name, type (HRT, supplement, prescription, or other), dose, frequency, and an optional daily reminder time.
MenoMate compares your symptom severity on days when you logged a particular trigger (e.g. caffeine, stress, heavy meal) versus days without that trigger. The difference is shown as a severity delta — a positive number means that trigger is associated with worse symptoms, a negative number means it may actually help. This requires at least 10 logs to generate reliable data.
MenoMate can use health data you've given permission to access — including sleep, activity, and heart rate — to enrich the AI Coach context and pattern analysis. You can manage these permissions in your iPhone's Health app → Sharing → Apps.
On your iPhone: go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, find MenoMate AI, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. Alternatively, open MenoMate → Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription which links directly to the Apple subscription management page.
If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. This will restore any active subscription associated with your Apple ID.

Absolutely. During onboarding, select your menopause stage — including surgical menopause. The AI Coach is aware of different menopause pathways and will tailor its responses accordingly, including guidance specific to surgical vs natural menopause.
