Privacy Policy

MenoMate AI ("MenoMate", "we", "our", or "us") is operated by Pointer Apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information the MenoMate AI mobile application (the "App") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

By creating an account or using MenoMate AI, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information. Email address, display name, and password when you create an account. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive a privacy-relay email (if you chose to hide yours) and an authentication token from Apple.
  • Health profile. Menopause stage, age range, primary symptoms, medical conditions, medications, and health goals you enter during onboarding.
  • Symptom logs. Symptom type, severity rating (1–5), associated triggers, timestamps, and any free-text notes you choose to add.
  • Medication records. Names, types (HRT, supplement, prescription, other), dosages, frequencies, and optional reminder times.
  • Daily check-ins. Mood, energy, and sleep-hours ratings.
  • MRS assessment answers. Your responses and computed scores from the Menopause Rating Scale questionnaire.
  • AI Coach conversations. Messages you send to and receive from the AI Coach, stored so you can see your chat history.
  • Healthcare reports. PDF reports you generate from your own data for sharing with your healthcare provider. These are stored privately in your account.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information. iOS version, device model, and app version, used for crash diagnosis and compatibility.
  • Push notification token. If you grant notification permission, a device token used to deliver reminders you enable.

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. MenoMate does not include Mixpanel, PostHog, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, Google Analytics, or any cross-app tracking framework.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the core MenoMate service (symptom tracking, logging, reminders, reports)
  • Generate AI Coach responses personalised to your stage, recent symptoms, active medications, and MRS history
  • Detect trigger correlations and patterns in your own data
  • Produce healthcare reports you can export and share
  • Send local and push notifications you have opted into
  • Process subscription purchases through Apple's App Store
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data to train third-party AI models, serve advertising, or sell your personal information. Ever.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following processors strictly to operate the App:

Supabase (backend + authentication)

Supabase hosts our encrypted database and manages authentication. Your data is protected by row-level security so that only you can read or modify it. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II compliant. See the Supabase Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat (subscription management)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscription state. RevenueCat receives an anonymised user identifier and subscription status (active, trial, expired). RevenueCat does not receive your health data, symptom logs, or AI chat history. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

OpenRouter / AI providers (AI Coach responses)

AI Coach messages are sent to OpenRouter, which routes them to Google's Gemini model. We send only the context needed to answer your message: your menopause stage, a summary of your recent symptoms, your latest MRS score band, and your conversation history. We do not send your email, name, account identifiers, or raw database rows. OpenRouter and the underlying model provider do not use these messages to train their models (per their API data-use policy). See the OpenRouter Privacy Policy.

Apple

Sign in with Apple handles authentication. App Store subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment method. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

MenoMate AI is a subscription-based app. Subscriptions are offered on weekly, monthly, and annual terms at the prices shown on the in-app paywall. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the MenoMate app does not cancel your subscription.

Subscription purchases are governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on encrypted servers operated by Supabase in the United States. We use:

  • TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest
  • Row-level security so each account can access only its own records
  • Principle of least privilege for any internal access to production systems

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant regulators as required by law.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Your data is retained while your account is active.
  • You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time through Settings → Delete Account inside the App. Deletion is processed within 30 days.
  • You may export a full copy of your data from Settings → Export My Data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you (in-app export or by email)
  • Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data
  • Correction — Update your health profile or account information in-app
  • Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format (JSON)
  • Object / withdraw consent — Disable notifications or HealthKit access in iOS Settings

Users in the EU/UK have rights under GDPR. Users in California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information as defined by any of these laws. To exercise any right that isn't already available in-app, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

MenoMate AI is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. International Users

MenoMate is operated from the United States and data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. For transfers from the EU/UK, we rely on standard contractual clauses and our processors' GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

10. Health-Related Disclaimer

MenoMate is a wellness and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, prescription, or treatment. Information and AI responses inside the App are for educational and self-tracking purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of MenoMate after a change indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.
